About The Department
The department of Physical Education started at the inception of Sri Indu Group of Institutions in the year 2001. Since then, the Physical Directors have been putting in their best efforts in imbibing knowledge and imparting skills to students and faculty in various Sports and Games, developing them to higher levels of expertise. Today sports and games have become a part of student development at Sri Indu.
Eminent leader R. Samba Siva Rao in Physical Education & Professional competitive level Infrastructure with facilities for Indoor and Outdoor games are the key features and strength of the department. Every Sri Indu loves spending time in sporting and gaming which keeps them fit and healthy.
A National level achievement was the goal previously wherein now we have already got two feathers of international colors into our cap. As a department, we aim at high level performance of students and healthy living of the faculty.

Zonal Tournaments
As a part of the JNTU zonal tournaments our college teams of boys and girls participate actively in all the sports and games every year. Teams of Sri Indu group of Institutions regularly qualify at Zonal level and represent the college at the Central Zone tournaments.
Inter-University Tournaments
Boys and girls are trained and encouraged to participate actively in the University team selections and the students selected to represent the university teams are encouraged with all facilities to participate in the South-zone Inter-University and All-India Inter-University tournaments.
Sports Bout

Department of Physical Education in the year 2013 has taken initiative to encourage a healthy competition in sports among the students pursuing Engineering and Pharmacy. We have been successful since then with complete encouragement and support from the Management in hosting Sports Bout - 2K13, 2K14, 2K15, 2K16, 2K17 & 2K18 with 2500 participants.
Annual Sports
Every year Sports and Games Competitions are organised for the students. Naturally the student community enjoys each and every moment of the competitions with active participation and spirited performances. Faculty members of the institution also participate actively in the sports and games competitions. Celebrities from the industry are invited to Synergy – the College Annual Day Celebration to share their experiences.
